Parklands 6-Hour Endurance Relay

Date: June 13, 2020 - Cancelled
Location: Jasper Parklands
Website for additional information & online registration:

runsignup.com/Race/IN/Jasper/Parklands6HourEnduranceRace

Information
The event will be run on paved trails within the beautiful setting of Jasper's newly developed Parklands. Running teams can set up their base camp within the northwest parking area of Klubhaus 61. The course is a hilly lop just slightly under 2 miles, and teams are challenged with completing as many loops as possible within the 6-hour time frame. Each runner can run as many loops at a time based upon that team's strategy. Once the 6-hour limit is reached, no runners may enter the course, and any runner still on the course will be counted. Only 1 runner per team can run at once.  We will only have the one transition area where we keep track of the teams and their exchanges.  So, the runners can switch each lap, or they can run multiple laps and then switch.  Come out and enjoy the challenge, team camaraderie, and beer and food from Schnitz Pub & Brewery!

Heartland
Half Marathon, 5K, and Team Challenge

Date: September 5, 2020 - Cancelled
Location: Historic 4th Street in Huntingburg, IN
Website: www.heartlandhalfmarathon.com

Race Information
HEARTLAND HALF MARATHON:
The date for Jasper's  annual Heartland Half Marathon is set for Saturday, September 2, 2017 - Labor Day Weekend - at 7:30 A.M. E.T. The race features a great course that starts in the shadow of the Jasper Train Depot along the Patoka River and finishes in the shade at Dave Buehler Plaza just a stone's throw away from the starting line.

This is a hilly course that is fairly challenging, especially at the midway point of the race along St. Charles Street. Some past participants have given us feedback that they enjoy this aspect of challenge; however, others were not prepared. Please be sure to prepare yourself for the midway peaks in the course. After the middle section of the race, the course largely flattens out again on the way to the finish. Register online here

HEARTLAND 5K:
This race begins at the same time and date as the Half Marathon, Saturday, September 2 at 7:30 A.M. E.T. The Half Marathon and 5K begin the same, but they will split apart very close to the start of the race. Be prepared to follow the volunteers' directions at this split. Like the Half Marathon and all Heartland events, the route will finish along the scenic Jasper Riverwalk.

HEARTLAND TEAM CHALLENGE:
The Heartland Team Challenge is a relay comprised of a 4-person team, and follows the same course as the Heartland Half Marathon. Participants will begin the same time and date as the Heartland Half Marathon and 5K. The first runner in the relay will travel 4.2 miles and pass along their timing chip to the second runner. The second runner will then run 3.6 miles and pass along their chip. The third runner will run 2.5 miles, and the final runner finishes off with the remaining 2.75 miles.
